Rates & Insurance

Your wellbeing and future is the best investment you can make.

My services start at $175 per 55 min session. I offer both 55 minute and 85-minute sessions.

Sliding scale packages are available for qualified persons on a limited basis.

Cancellations are allowed up to 24 hours to avoid being charged the full fee for the session.

I’ve partnered with Mentaya to help you get reimbursed more quickly when using out of network benefits with insurance. Of course, it’s totally optional whether you chose to use it or not, but I wanted to make sure you’re informed since this is a great resource.

Lots of clients love using it since you can get reimbursed more quickly without having to submit your own insurance superbill and fight for reimbursement.

They charge you a small 5% fee per claim but can help you get up to 80% reimbursement after your deductible has been met. They have a benefits calculator so let me know if you want us to run that for you to see what your specific plan offers.

Let me know if you decide you want to use Mentaya since I would need to submit the claims for you after each session.

My Cancellation Policy

You are responsible for attending each appointment and agree to adhere to the following policy: If you cannot keep the scheduled appointment, you MUST notify our office to cancel or reschedule the appointment prior to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time. If you cancel or reschedule more than once, we may re-evaluate your needs and motivations for treatment.

Paying for Therapy

Payments for therapy sessions can be processed in various methods. I accept credit cards from Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and AMEX. I take exact cash payments as well as Zelle, a direct deposit service.

Payment is due at the time of service for in-person sessions, and prior to the start of session for teletherapy services.

Sliding Scale

Sliding scale is a pricing method where therapists reduce their rates to make the client's income level. If you feel that therapy will not be a commitment you can make without a sliding scale option, please contact me. Providing counseling is my life's calling, and I feel it should be affordable for those looking to grow and improve their lives.

Why Don’t You Take Insurance?

I get asked this question all the time and it’s important enough to explain.

1. You are in control of your care, including choosing your therapist and length of treatment.

2. Increased privacy and confidentiality (except for limits of confidentiality) as your information stays with me.

3. Not having a mental health disorder diagnosis on your medical record.

4. Consulting with me on non-psychiatric issues that are important to you that aren’t billable by insurance, such as learning how to cope with life changes, gaining more effective communication techniques for your relationships, increasing personal insight, and developing healthy new skills.

You are welcome to claim my services on your out of network insurance. I do offer a SuperBill you can send to your insurance for reimbursement.

Together, we can find a more helpful understanding of the past, and build a more meaningful future.
